R.E.P.O. is a cooperative action horror game from an independent studio in which players take on the role of members of a special unit tasked with collecting anomalous objects from abandoned facilities and dangerous locations. The game emphasizes cooperation, tension, and the gradual discovery of paranormal phenomena that change the behavior of the environment and the enemies themselves.

Story

As operatives of the R.E.P.O. organization, you go on individual missions to places affected by the appearance of anomalous entities. Each assignment represents a separate operation with the goal of securing specific objects and surviving attacks by monsters that try to prevent your progress. The story background is provided in the form of found documents, records, and fragments that reveal the nature of the threat.

Gameplay

Players must coordinate their movements, use limited equipment, and negotiate effectively while completing tasks. Each mission involves collecting items, surviving sudden attacks, and avoiding intelligent enemies that react to sound and light. The emphasis is on risk–reward decision-making and inventory management during progressively more challenging levels.

Technical state

R.E.P.O. uses a dark, austere environment with strong lighting, thanks to which the atmosphere of constant danger stands out. The sound plays a crucial role in orientation and recognition of approaching enemies. Regular updates bring new maps, improved entity behavior, and optimizations for a smoother experience.
