About the game

Baldur’s Gate 3 is a large-scale RPG set in the Dungeons & Dragons universe, created by Larian Studios. It introduces players to the living fantasy world of the Forgotten Realms, where epic adventures, political intrigue, magic and personal stories of individual characters are mixed. The game emphasizes player choice - every decision, dialogue or move in battle can fundamentally change the direction of the story and the relationships within the party.

Story

You wake up aboard a flying illithid (mind flayer) ship with a deadly parasitic larva in your head. This unwanted “power” connects you with other afflicted people, and together you embark on a dangerous journey to find a way to get rid of the parasite before it completes its transformation into a being from the depths of the astral realm.

Each choice determines who you will become - a hero who protects the Light, or someone who succumbs to the Darkness and uses your new gift to manipulate and dominate. The fate of the entire Faerûn region hangs in the balance.

Gameplay

Baldur’s Gate 3 offers turn-based combat inspired by the rules of D&D 5e and extreme freedom in resolving situations. You can:

- climb terrain, throw enemies off cliffs, set barrels of explosives on fire,

- resolve conflicts through diplomacy, intimidation or manipulation,

- use the environment, magic and physical interactions.

The team consists of unique companions, each of whom has their own motivations and moral compass. The system of skill checks (dice rolls) allows you to improvise - often a single line in the dialogue can change the entire course of events.

Technical state

The game benefits from detailed graphic design and sophisticated cinematic dialogues that dynamically adapt to your choices. An orchestral soundtrack accompanies epic battles and intimate moments between characters. Each location — from dark crypts to the wilderness to the legendary city of Baldur's Gate — is filled with interactive elements, secret paths, and opportunities to experiment with game mechanics.
